also... should insterting a tampon be painful since i am a virgin? i felt no pain whats so ever while inserting it, but it felt very uncomfortable. since i felt no pain does that mean my hymen is broken? how can i tell if my hymen is broken.

the pain indicates it wasn't inserted deep enough into the vaginal canal.

You can't loose your virginity with a tampon! you need penatrative vaginal sex!

The hymen has very little nerve endings in it, most people don't even feel it rupture. Most pain is probably from the vaginal muscle walls.

Don't worry darling, as was said, it probably wasn't inserted deep enough. If you've just started using tampons, don't worry, they take a bit to get used to. In some ways, practice does makes perfect.
