I was taking Yaz for about 5 months and everything was great... but unfortunately something happened with my insurance and i was off the pill for almost a month. I got a hang of the pills and started them in the middle of my cycle. Now i am having a lot of spotting and i bled during intercourse today. I'm thinking this may be because my body is not synchronized with my pills. So would it be a good idea to stop the pills and just let my period come and then start it then? Is it okay to stop in the middle of the pack? Or should I just keep taking the pills and hope my body adjusts soon? I know it can take up to three months.. but i'll be on vacation for a month and I don't want to be bleeding all the time... =(. Thanks for your help.

That is up to you. Going off the pill is an open invitation to pregnancy. When you had to get off the pill for that month did you use a condom when you started them up again? It takes a month for your body to get adjusted to bc, Tho you had been on the pill for 5 months, stopped and started again, the chance is there that you could get pregnant. You should always use alternate bc when you first start the pill, at least for the first month. If you stop in the middle of your pack, you will get a period, but you know that already.
I get it when you say that you don't want a period while on vacation, what a buzz kill. If that is what you decide, use a condom or this may be the most memorable vacation ever.
