I have a family history of depression so when I began researching I became quite frankly, terrified at some of the side affects of these drugs. So, I looked for alternatives and discovered that the two people in my family who seemed to have more significant depression indeed had wheat allergies, but by removing the whole grains, the B vitamins would be lost as well.
Riboflavin in larger doses helped with their sleep and
Inositol in therapeutic doses worked beautifully on the depression. A whole food diet is an absolute must with no sugar, no white anything no soda, no artificial sugars, splenda etc. Difficult regime but guess what, NO SIDE AFFECTS!!! And happiness, laughter, It may not work for everyone but it sure has helped our family.
