Hello. I'm 22 year old female and I need help to understand some facts about marijuana and erection connection!
I'm in one long relationship and I was always very happy with my sex life. But recently-something changed. My boyfriend never had any problems with his erection but these last couple of weeks he was unable to get an erection. Can you imagine this!? I first though that the problem is in me and that’s why I asked him did anything changed about how he feels about me- he told me that it isn’t truth and that his feeling are the same. Then I remembered that in these last couple of weeks he was smoking more marijuana then usual and I'm just wondering could this be the cause of our problem???

Hi. I have read your post and it made me thinking about it. I didn’t know anything about this issue and that’s why I asked some people who know more about this. Listen what they have told me!
It is medically proven that the one neurotransmitter called acetylcholine in his brain and nervous systems has been gradually taken over by marijuana chemicals. The brain's acetylcholine and parasympathetic nervous functions are responsible for maintaining erection during sex.
They told me that this could be very dangerous condition because once the marijuana's chemicals take over the interneuron or synapses; it is very difficult to kick it out of the brain and nervous systems. The only cure is quitting with marijuana!

| erections can be more psychological. i went through a period where i convinced myself that i could not get an erection with my gf. but after a few good times and reassurance, my problem was over, convince your bf its a physical problem so it doesnt take over him psychologically. Pyschological problems are a lot harder to cure than physical. |

| Have found quite the opposite effect. After ceasing long term use, my erection time has decreased and my ability to stay hard has decreased. With marijuana use, erections are strong and are under my control and I can keep them for extended periods of time. I feel going back to marijuana is the only option if I want a sex drive I have control over. Marijuana use also decreases sensation in the penis. I find it to definitely be an aphrodisiac and have aphrodisiacial qualities. |

| Almost every guy i'v ever slept with smoked weed.None had this problem, however ask him if he has been doing any other drugs.I know if he's done cocain or dxm (even one time things) he may have a problem getting a erection when on them. |

I honestly do not thing Marijuana can be blamed for erectile dysfunction. My last boy friend recently started smoking weed near the end of our relationship and he had NO problems whatsoever. If you ask me he got an erection faster after he started smoking and his sex drive went through the roof. My current boyrfriend smoked weed since he was about 9 years old (he's a rastafarian) and since he started hen never stopped he does it almost every day maybe two times a day, and he is the BEST love maker and the sweetest man I have ever been with. HE DOES NOT HAVE A PROBLEM GETTING OR MAINTAINING AN ERECTION and he is 26 years old now.
The problem comes in where you MIX weed with other drugs like crack, tobacco, cocaine or smoke it in Cigar paper etc.
Don't be fooled, if you man is smoking " weed" and he cannot get an erection you should start asking him.. "what do you put in it ?" |

Hey,
For what its worth.
My wife and I both smoke weed (a lot) and it really depends on the weed.
Sometimes we are lucky and get what we call horny weed and we do it like rabbits. But some other types of weed really inhibit the sex.
Sometimes if we are freshly stoned with really stong weed and we get to fooling around I find that my erection is not in full force or it just dies out like half way through.
Its like I am mentally unable to connect with my penis, if that makes sense. Like the good feeling sensation is not reaching my brain.
So we are aware of what is happening and say oh well - wait about an hour for the high to wear off a little - and then get busy again.
My wife will have the same problem too if she is too high. She says something like " Damn I'm too high - it feels so freaking good but I just can't get there" So then she reaches down for some hand stimulation and still can't get there because she is too high. So we wait a little while and then all works well again.
But it has only happened while we were really stoned, never while sober.
A lot of it is mental and being high might interfere for some and not for others. |

all that bullspit ( i hate censorship) that people teach you, and doctors tell gets me rolling on the floor sometimes. i cant stand to listen to someone who tells you that they are looking for a cure for cancer when they kill more patients than cure. and there are natural solutions for cancer.
anyways... i smoke pot, and every time i do, i get extremely horny. marijuana is more known for being a natural Aphrodisiac. some people are different though. i feel that i get more erections from weed. mainly because your blood pressure goes down when you smoke weed. this would allow for more blood to go through your body. |

| First of all, smoking cannabis temporarily RAISES blood pressure, not the opposite. That, however, is totally irrelevant to this topic. Some people get horny when they're high and others feel dissociated. Everyone here is missing the real question here and that is whether his increased smoking is a CAUSE or an EFFECT. It may just be that the same thing that has been compelling him to smoke more is also affecting his sex drive. ie-depression, anxiety, etc. |
