skin treatment after cortisone shot

Hello..

I just received a cortisone shot for a cystic pimple. The swelling went down quite a bit in a few hours, but now what? I still feel a small bump, which I'm sure will go away in a few days. But, how do I treat the wound - it's scabbing due to the needle. I don't want to put anything on the wound to make it flare again. What do you recommend?

Hey I know this is pretty annoying having a scab after the shot, but you have to deal with it for a few days until it goes away. I just don’t think you should be obsessed with it, no matter how irritating this could be for you, there is simply nothing you can do about it. Only you try not to remove the scab until it gets off on its own, you can make it even worse and prolong its presence.
Also there is nothing you ca put on the wound, I think being exposed to the oxygen is the best way for it to dry out.
Just leave it and it’ll vanish real soon, don’t you worry!
