skipped a week of pills, worried if pregnant??

so my pharmacy had a mix up and was unable to get my new pack of pills to me until the wednesday after i was supposed to start it (im a sunday starter). because it was too late to make those days up, i started the new pack that following sunday. all month my breasts have hurt and im beginning to worry if pregnancy is a possibility. also, since i started my pack a week later, i wasnt expecting my period until next week and it came today. could this just be because my body is thrown off from starting late? i have been on the pill for 5 years or so and still wasnt sure if starting the next sunday was the right thing to do?! any feedback would be appreciated. thank you!

You did the right thing in starting on a day that you could remember =)

The best thing to do would be to DOUBLE UP on pills until you are caught up, this is what amny docs reccomend, but YOUR WAY IS EXCELLENT!

The only way you would be at risk for pregnancy is if you had sex before you were on the pill at least 7 days into the new package.

You would also be at risk if you had sex from the day you WERE SUPPOSED to start your new pack, to the 7 days after you started your new pack.
