skipped period...dark bleeding?

I have been on my new birth control pills for about four months...i used them before in the past to regulate my period. i am using them now as i am sexually active. i had to come back on marvelon 28 because i found tr cyclen lo wasn't strong enough.

i have skipped my period the past three months for varias reasons...i know that can be bad! but i did it before in the past on these pills with no problem. this month however, i have been experiencing spotting. it started off light then stopped and now it is starting up again but it is heavier and darker, i am expecting my period in about 9 or ten days which would be three days into the sugar pills. (i have six days left on the white pills)

what do i have to worry about...if anything?? HELP it is really an inconvience.
