Why did it have to happen to me? First I was diagnosed with sleeping apnea. That was very disturbing. I would wake up at nights just to take a breath. I got myself a nice sleeping mask, and that worked. And now, a couple of years later this awful tingling, and painful sensations in my leg started while I was sleeping. And on top of all this my doctor prescribes me Benzodiazepines even though I told him I had sleep apnea. This is outrages!!! What other drugs can I use for RLS that aren’t Benzodiazepines? Thx for the info!
MY God, that is really a awful story. Besides being not good to people with sleep apnea, Benzodiazepines wouldn’t help you much with RLS, it would only reveal pain, so that you could sleep at night. I suggest you found your self another doctor, told him about your medical history and he may prescribe something else to you like dopaminergic agents and opioids.
