sleep apnea caused by singulair

Hello! My husband suffers from asthma, and he has been prescribed Singulair, which was supposed to help him but instead he developed sleep apnea. Is there anyconection between this drug and sleep apnea? Could singulair have casued sleep apnea in my husbans?

There were also reports that Singulair showed significant improval in people with asthma and breathing problems.
