I know that many women experience menstrual problems after delivery, no matter if it were vaginal or c-section. Many women experience hormonal imbalance, which results in menstrual irregularities. Hormonal imbalance develops after cleaning the uterus after c-section.

Breastfeeding can certainly make things worse. Are you still breastfeeding? I know that my sister didn’t have periods at all during breastfeeding. This is because there’s a bigger production of prolaction, which also interferes with menstrual regulations.

What you could do is report your problems to the gynecologist. S/he may order a blood test to determine the level of hormones and prescribe something (bc pills or similar) to regulate your periods. They could also order a pap smear to check your inner side to see if anything had developed, like polyps, or abnormal cells that could have interfered with your periods.

Many women develop thyroid problems after delivery. It is usually hyperthyroid, with sweating palms, inability to lose weight, etc. Thyroid disorders also play with menstrual cycles.

Do you have any other symptoms besides this irregular bleeding?
