small, hard lump on testicle

Hello,
I am a 23 yr old male and a few months ago i found a small hard lump on the outer side of my left testicle. it is defiently protruding from the actual teste, and not anything else. It does not hurt, and has not gotten any bigger since. it is very small, maybe a quarter the size of a pea, and is very hard, not tender at all. i was wondering what this most sounds like, whether cancer, or any other type of condition?

I am 72 years old and my Right testicle has swelled up and I recently found a 3/8 lump on right side. The lump is very tender and it is very painful. I have unbearable pain in my groin and scrotum. The pain continues to be felt going up and around my back (near my kidney). It continues to hurt with an aching pain that runs down my right leg just below my knee.

I sometimes have problems Urinating and it can also be very painful to pee.

I had this same problem 5 years ago. My urologist had me take 1 Flomax pill each day and it did not help. He then prescribed a bright purple pill that also did not help. I finally was put in the hospital and was feed me medicine by IV. After 4 days in the hospital the swelling went down and everything was normal again. The doctor told me to take Prosar and – Decreases the size of the prostate) Takes a Flomax – Helps your pee flow


For the last 5 years I have been taking 1 Proscar pill and 1 Flomax pill day. I have had a hard time peeing.

Recently I have been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. The doctor said they caught it early and treated me with 28 Radiations Treatment and then followed up with 2 Needle implant treatments where they inserted 18 needles below my scrotum and they pumped radiation through it. I just finished up with the needle treatments and that was when my swelling began.

My doctor wanted me to wait to see if the swelling would go down and told me to wait a week. The swelling did not go down and I asked him to put me in the hospital to feed medicine by IV. I was hoping this would help. The IV has been feeding me medicine the past 5 days and that has not helped. The pain is unbearable and I am ready to loose a Testicle if needed.

Please help provide some alternative solutions or advise so I maybe able to discuss this with my doctor. We are both at a loss and do not what to do next.

Concerned Guy, you have done the correct first step, by examining your testicle with a self check. You have found something out of the ordinary, and it must be checked out by a doctor. Start with your family doctor, or your local health clinic. Don't be shy. You want to get an answer to this... that's why you wrote in. As you can see by the comment from PLEASEHELPME, you want to catch things early.

The hard lump you have found may not prove to be anything serious, but it must be checked out to know for sure. This is not something that you want to put off.

Second, Pleasehelpme is asking for alternative treatments for a complicated situation. He has already undergone treatment by several doctors, and he is describing additional pain and surgical options. This is beyond my ability to advise over a discussion board.

I am not versed in alternative treatments.
I would urge him to talk with his doctor frankly, and ask for a referral to someone versed in alternative therapy. He may find his doctor is open minded, and he may find that there is something additional that his doctor can do for him.
Either way, you want a qualified person to address your concern.

Perhaps someone will write an answer directly addressing your request.

Hello, I Too Just Recently Discovered A Small Hard Pertruding Lump On My Left Testical Right In The Area At The End Where Eveything Seems To Be Connected On The Underside....It Does Not Hurt But If I Rub It Or Touch To See If Its Still There, Thier Is A Slight Discomfort As If You Were To Sqeeze Your Testicals To Hard Or If Kicked/Punched In That Area, Not As Extreme Of Pain But A Slight Sensation Of The Sort It Is Not Umberible Just A Discomfort....And I Can Feel The Same Feeling Slightly Now Even When Not Messed With Although It The Lump Has Not Increased In Size. Any Suggestions Or Past Expieriences Would Be Greatly Appretiated!!

I found a couple years ago a small protruding hard thing on my left testicle, no discomfort or anything, but i havent gone to the doctor for it and it hasnt changed a bit, i found one in my crotch area too, same exact thing.. what the heck are these things? no insurance of course... thanks
