I wonder if you can help me with my problem. I have just started with kick-boxing and I have to admit that I feel great. I have already lost several pounds and improved my technique. But I have problems with swelling shins. I added running twice a week to fasten weight loss. What over-the-counter creams or ointments could I use to relieve swelling shins?

Swelling shins is a condition that occurs because of the overload between the shin bone (tibia) and tissue that surrounds it, both connective and muscle. Beside over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen, and even aspirin, there are other tings you can try to help yourself (proper shoes choice, maybe arch support, ice for affected area and finally, rest). You should try all of these and you should get better.
