I just started having some brown spotting (very little) 5 months after having vaginal complete hysterectomy. I am concerned for 2 reasons, 1st my doctor said that in my cervix I had pre cancerous cells but that this was no longer a problem because my uterus and cervix was removed. However I asked him if pre cancerous cells can spread and he didn't quite answer me but instead said that it wasn't the kind of cancer that spreads but that it is only confined to my cervix (due to HPV)and that I didn't have the disease since the cells were only precancerous. Now I am getting some brown spotting and am very concerned. Can precancerous cells spread to ovaries, vagina or any where else and develop into full fledge cancer cells? Is it normal to have some spotting after months after vaginal complete hysterectomy?
