My son is complaining about soreness on his collar bone, grinding sensation when he raises his arm and weakness in the arm. He plays football, and he fell a couple of days ago. Is it possible that he broke something?
Hello there! These symptoms indicate a fracture of the collarbone. He may also experience decrease in motion of the shoulder, chronic pain, swelling around the shoulder. There could be some long-term effects which depend on the extent of the fracture and the success of the treatment. There could come to damage in the nerves or blood vessel, so he should better go and have that checked out.
