sore aching legs tired interferon

Hello! I have been tested positive for hepatitis c and prescribed interferon. However, ever since I started taking the drug I have been experiencing some troubles like sore, aching legs and tiredness. What should I do? Wait for these symptoms to go or report them to a doc?

You should definitely report them to a doc. Interferon can cause flu-like symptoms following each injection. They may vary from mild to severe and they occur in up to half of all patients. The symptoms tend to diminish with repeated injections and may be managed with analgesics such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) and antihistamines such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl). That is why you should report it, so that the doc can do something about those side effects.
