sore breasts, missed pill...

Hi all. My Girlfriend is very good about taking her pill and has been on it for about 6-8 months. She takes it at the same time everyday and never misses a pill. However, last month she took all pills and got her period normally, but then this month her doctor was on a trip and could not renew her prescription abroad...so she missed the 1st day she was supposed to take one, took one the second day which she had leftover from a sample, and missed the third day...on the fourth day she got her prescription and began taking them normally....she now has about 8 days left til shes done her pills and has had very sore breasts for a week now. We did have sex for the few days during the pill troubles a few times without condoms, but I never ejaculate inside her and always urinate in between sex to wash out remaining sperm. We figured that since we had sex right after her period, she shouldnt be anywhere near ovulating yet, but the sore breasts are unusual for her. Is this because of the hormones from messing up the pill, or could she be pregnant? Any help or additional tips/answers would be great. Thanks
