Hello! I was diagnosed with cervical spinal disk compression three months ago. I was given painkillers and signed for physical therapy. I started with therapy but never finished since the pain subsided. For the last two weeks I have been experiencing strange neck pain and yesterday night and this morning I felt kind of dizzy. I was wondering if these things were related and if I should see my doc again or should I just lay low until the problem disappears?

I am no doctor but I would certainly see one if I were having such symptoms. I know for sure that neck pain could be due to cervical disk disease. If you don’t have any numbing effects or weakness in the arms and fingers, then I reckon your nerves are not affected. However, the neck pain should be checked. As for the dizziness, it could arise from occlusion in the vertebral artery, which is situated in the neck, so I wouldn’t play with this if I were you. Better to be safe than sorry-see your doc.
