| Motorcycle accident, broken back L1 & L5, why does my boyfriend have to wear a catherater bag 2 months after release from hospital? Will he always have to wear this bag? What is causing him not to function normally? He is also constipated and has to h ave help going to the bathroom? Please respond. |

donmt worry about the catherter bag, or help going to the toilet, its earler days 3 years ago i broke l1 and slipped discs etc, the bladder will imporve and with trianing etc will improve, also the mediction may be affecting i would imagine some dtong painkollers are being used
constupation! eat dried prunes and take some senna, tastes hirrible but works,
also watch the mood swings there may be some deppression hiding way - this is normal! just ask you own gp for advice on hoe to handle you chapp he is still the smae guy, email more if you need more!

| I don't know why things happen like they do, but please know you're not alone! Like the other guy said painkillers can cause constipation, so make sure he has enough fluids and eats a lot of vegies. When he eats, get him to eat fruit and vegies before meat. The reason is, fruits and vegies digest faster than meat.(If you eat meat first then the produce will try to force it's way out with no exit causing gas and discomfort.) |
