Hello, I was told about 2 wks ago that I needed to have my spleen
taken out as it was not aiding in the uping of my platelets. I have been on
several types of drugs trying to get it to come back up and it will not get past 60. I have taken some drugs now that my hair is falling out. I ITP
and they say nothing else to do steriods are out of the question due to diab. Thanks for all you help with this matter, let me know what it is like after surgery he told me I would be in the hosp for a few days. What do I expect from the surgery with the platelets.
