std fear after visit to the gyno

a few days ago i had my first pap smear. i lost my virginity last march and i have been sexually active since then. i lack optimism and always seem to think the worst. i have a slightly yellow colored discharge and a few times after sex i have bled, both of these symptoms cause me to think that i may have an std. would a pap smear detect an std? or would my gyno have been able to tell that something was sketchy when she was 1 inch from my vagina? i am just curious, wondering if even after my visit to the gyno and even after my pap smear results, could i still have an undiscovered std or something?

My gyno runs std test periodically I think just for the fun of it. I have been happily married for 7yr and was having some problems so she immediately checks for std even though i assureed her I couldn't have one. Of course it come back neg. You could be safe but it never hurts to check I guess if there could be a possiblity. You know guys aren't honest and you can't tell by looking at someone that they have and std.

unforunately a pap smear doesn't test for all stds and for a few of them u need a blood test. and i've read that usually a disharge and bleeding after intercourse is present with the HPV virus, which sounds horrible, but if it is that, statistics recorded that at least 50% of americans will contract the disease in their lifetime, so it is the most common std and most people have no sypmtoms at all. i don't know if i helped or i just rambled on! basically, go to the main health dept. or gyno around u and ask for all std testing.
