I have become a stepmother about a year ago and ever since than I have serious stepchildren problems-those are fine kids one is 16 years old girl and he is 14 years old boy and no matter how hard I try to please them my stepchildren problems persists. And the thing is I really do care about them and would like to create some healthy relation towards them but I don't manage to do it right somehow-I feel they are blaming me for the divorce of their parents but it is not the truth, I came into their dad's life after their parents got separated and at first time I didn't even new he has got kids. Anyway the whole story ended up with our marriage but I never thought I could be having these stepchildren problems especially regarding the fact that I am a friendly person and would try everything to have healthy and happy relations.

Well, one of the main parts of creating healthy relationships especially when it is about stepchildren is patience, trust me I was also stepmother and still am with the same stepchildren problems and years were needed to pass to fix whole bunch of stepchildren problems I had to deal with but now after whole the stepchildren problems I had we have a great time together. You know those are teenager kids having their own problems besides this and her mother is the one they are missing –which is normal I guess so just have a patience and keep an eye on them for this is a difficult time for them too that may result in serious depressions and some drugs or similar problem. Anyway I bet when they turn 25 or maybe 30 you would get what you want. My stepchildren are now about 30 and I am a young almost 50 years old step mom having great time with them and in about 5 months or so I will become step grandmother-with no more trace of stepchildren problems.
