hello,i am having a problem with my stomach,it looks and feel swollen,i had a period last month, this month i have not,i was just wondering what could be my problem, and my period i thought was over, cause i have not seen a period in several years, sometimes i might have a period once a year sometimes nuthin, this year in april i went 7 days on i guess my period, this month i have not seen nuthin, but my stomach feels bloated, feels pressure in the bottom, could a previous pelvis infection which is now cured by an emergency doctor cause this,or could i be pregnant and do not know it,could finding out i had a pelvis infection cause them not to be able to determine i was pregnant at the time.

i am 46 years old had one miscarriage, thought my periods was over withy, until april, i came on my period, for 6 days, and do not know why, this month i have not seen my periods, but my stomach is getting larger, pressure in the lower part, feels like there is something there, can u tell me whats my problem, i do not have a gallbladder, i had that removed over 7 years ago.

Have you seen a gynecologist since your stomach started swelling and since you started bleeding and experiencing pain? You certainly should.

It is quite possible that you have some kind of hormonal disorder and it is quite possible that you have developed some kind of uterine growths or even suffer from endometriosis.

The most common growths that grow in the uterus walls or muscles are fibroids and myomas. These growths are always benign, don’t lead to cancer but are very uncomfortable as they can cause pain, menstrual problem and could make your stomach swell and make you look pregnant.

Endometriosis is a disorder in which uterus lining doesn’t grow in the uterus but on the organs near by. These organs can be ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder and even bowels.

Since periods represent shedding of the uterus lining, when the period is about to come this lining would like to get out but has no place to leave because it is inside of the body.
This disorder also causes all kind of uncomfortable symptoms and if you haven’t seen a doctor yet, I would suggest you did to rule out any abdominal tumors.
