Caron,
I am 7 weeks post total hysterectomy and I have the same problem you described, the feeling is coming back a little, but not all the way, but the lower stomach is still there. I try to walk 30 minutes each day, but I don't know when this stomach is going to go down.
I am also losing weight without trying, have you experienced that? I am craving sweets, and I have never craved them before. I am on the "patch", what r u using for hormone replacement/therapy? |

| Hello, I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago and I noticed this strange shape too, but I thought it was my bladder because everything else was not there so I just ignored it and then 9 months ago I had got severly sick and ended up in the ER where they then done a cat scan and found a large hernia as well as a large cyst on my ovary. So needless to say they had to go in and remove my ovaries and try to repair the hernia as best as they could. But what I am saying This thing could most likely be a hernia which is caused from a surgery or multiple surgeries. Now 4 weeks ago I had to go back into surgery to get my hernia's repaired again because the first repair was not succsessful and ripped back open, they used a mesh this time to repair it. My hernia was a shape of a nerf football at the pelvic area which did form a few weeks after my first surgery and sometimes the hernias can be pushed back in to where it belongs but I don't recommend trying to do this. You really should see your doctor right away and not let it go if it is a hernia, because you can risk your intestens being blocked and strangled like mine was getting ready to do , but still luckily caught it in good time. you also form scar tissue after surgery inside you abdomon which can feel wierd too. As far as loss of feeling , if it's near or around the surgical incisions more than likely the feeling won't come back because when they cut you they also cut the surrouding nerves too. I really stress that you see your Dr. |
