strange pain- right side of belly

I have been getting a strange sensation in just the right lower side of my tummy. I have only noticed it in the last 4 or so days. I have never been pregnant but it 'feels' like a baby kicking- how i would imagine it to feel anyway. Although I am not pregnant. You can actually feel it from the oustide of my belly too. Sometimes I get a rapid sharp stabbing pain deep below inside somewhere- only lasts a few seconds but in that time i really have to concentrate on breathing. Does anyone have any idea whats going on?
