My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD...many of parent struggling with their children deficit disorder know how this thing go... she has problems with panic attacks, anxiety, depression and hypomania and was put on straterra. The biggest problem is that straterra doesn’t help her and se has problems standing since taking this drug. She is 10 and already has problems of physical nature? It is very worrying for me to know your own child is sick and cannot do anything to help her... I was surfing the net and came to this information: postural tachycardia syndrome? Is anyone little bit more familiar with this syndrome? Is it related to ADHD?
Thank you very much!

POTS is a type of dysautonomai (a medical term used to describe a group of conditions caused by a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system). POTS or is a disorder that is characterized by the body's inability to simply stand or more complicated, for body to make the necessary adjustments to counteract gravity when standing up. The defining symptom is an excessive heart rate increment upon standing, but there are multitude of other symptoms (rapid heartbeat, lightheadedness with prolonged standing, headache, chronic fatigue and chest pain) that often accompany this syndrome, so POTS can be a difficult disorder to detect and understand.
It us quite common that children or adults are often misdiagnosed with ADHD, when, there is often some other very similar disorder actually occurring.
