I have a problems and my doctor was thinking I should take Strattera. He said this medicine should help, so I bought it. Anyway, I am a little bit worried because I have heard this medicine has some side effects. My friend told me about headache, dry mouth, urinary hesitance, constipation, and early awakening, what she experienced. I would like if there is anyone who can share strattera experiences with me, should I have this drug or not.

I could tell you about my experience, and that is I love Strattera. This drug is likely to trigger mania in the bipolar or seizures in the epileptic than most antidepressants. Either is still possible, it is just that the odds are higher. Recent research has shown that people in the bipolar spectrum have less dense prefrontal cortices than the non-bipolar. That is why and norepinephrine reuptake does a lot of work in the prefrontal cortex, so that is probably the reason why. Strattera was for me, as for most people, medicine with a low side effect profile. This drug proves to be either ineffectual or just the greatest thing ever for someone. The headache tends to go away and only reappears with a dosage increase. The urinary hesitance, constipation, dry mouth and early awakening strike at random throughout the time I take it. Except for the dry mouth and headache, these side effects all hit me at random. Fortunately, I like waking up at 5:00 a.m. now and then and all the other side effects are mild, and I could definitely recommend you to take Strattera and do not be worried.

| I took Strattera for a week- started on 40mg 3 days in a row then 80mg after that. I only got to take the first 80mg pill becasue I developed a sore throat and flu-like symptoms you wouldn't believe! Ithought I was dying. So weak and tired. My doc said it might really be the flu. So when I stopped taking the med, the symptoms stopped and He said lets just try 40mg , well the 4th dose I had the same sore throat and flu-like symptoms and I noticed that was a rare side effect that no one was telling me about. It was horribe. Also thru my research I noticed that this drug has law suits against it because it can cause liver failure. I would never take it ever again. |
