Hi, I am a 39 years old accountant. My job is connected with a lot of sitting. I don't move a lot and it bothers me. My spine hurts. So, I have decided to exercise. My choice is running. I know I have to warm-up before running. Also I should stretch. Tell me how much should I stretch before running and for how long?
I see you are well informed. It is good not to rush into something. It is the best to be well informed. To warm-up you should walk or slow jog for 5-10 minutes. It will prepare your muscles for the effort during training. Then you should stretch with the accent on your legs. Stretch for a 5 minutes. When you are stretching you should not make sudden moves or bounce.
