The first thing you need to do is report this to the doctor/gynecologist who will be maintaining your pregnancy. You were not supposed to get pregnant while on Suboxone because it falls into a C pregnancy class, which means that it is not known whether it is safe or not to be taken during pregnancy.

There are treatments that are safe to be used during pregnancy like methadone or naltrexone. The problem is that you already got pregnant and that switching from suboxone to another treatment will get you into withdrawal. Withdrawal could induce miscarriage. So, your doctor may decide to switch you to subotex, which is very similar to suboxone but it doesn’t contain nalaxone in it, which is thought to be dangerous to be taken during pregnancy.

Breast feeding is also not advised while being on this drug but all of these things will be decided when a doc assesses your situation.

There could be a neonatal withdrawal. The onset of symptoms lasted from day 1 to day 8, most commonly on the day 1. Adverse events of neonatal withdrawal include hyper-tonia, neonatal tremor, neonatal agitation, myoclonus and in rare cases convulsions, apnea and bradycardia.
