Can you tell me if suboxone can be used during pregnancy. I used it as heroin detox and stayed on it. I know I still have problems but I just found out I am pregnant, it has been three weeks. I was wondering if the drug would cause damage to the fetus!

Actually, it is not known what kind of effect would this drug have on the baby. It is not recommended especially because the drug may cause withdrawal effects on the baby. It is also not used while breastfeeding. Considering you have problems with addiction and going through withdrawal effects may effect baby as well, you need to speak with your ob/gyn or doctor who prescribes suboxone and decide with them what you are about to do regarding your safety and the safety of your baby.
