Posted: 02/29/08 - 20:32 Post subject: head pain every 30 seconds |
|
|
| I have exactly the same thing...for the first time in my life (I'm 50). It hurts so bad that at first I thought I must have hit my head on something. My right ear is painful and hot...jabbing pain on right side of head regularly every 30 seconds or so that wakes me up. Top of my head very sore; hurts to brush my hair. What the heck is this? It doesn't sound like an ice pick headache because its a debilitaing pain every 30 seconds that has lasted for a few days now. The regular intervals are what really confuse me. |

Posted: 03/04/08 - 17:14 Post subject: Vitamin Water may be the culpret |
|
|
Like an earlier user my head pains (usually start at the top of my head on the right side and travel down toward the top of the back-side of my ear. it may be a 2 second event at most but usually happens 20 30 times at 60 second intervals) started when I started drinking Vitamin Water. I was under the impression that it was good for you because of the list of great ingredients. I am now going to discontinue use and see what happens. I do not drink water with fluoride added to it and vitamin water states it contains reverse osmosis water. That means any fluoride should be lost in the process. I do not believe the Coca-Cola company or anything it says unless it is "I want more money." and as you may know Vitamin Water was bought by the Coke company. I will let you know how my headaches progress.
After some more research I have reason to believe that this can be attributed to the use of cellular devices like a phone or wireless internet. Computer monitors also give off signals that can be bad for you. From here on out I am limiting my time on the cellular phone, sitting further away from my monitor, turning off the wireless output on my router, and I am going to seriously try and curb this. I am willing to bet that everyone who has posted here uses a cellular phone on a daily basis. |

I once had sharp pains in the right side of my head. It would come for a second, and slowly go away then it would keep doing that like a pulse. It lasted a few days and went away. It was soo annoying! Sometimes, once in a while it would come and go away. Now im starting to feel sharp pains on other parts of my body, like my hand, or leg or arm. Its weird.. i dont know whats wrong, and i am only a teenager! |

| I too have had these sharp shooting pains off and on for a few years. They will go away for months at a time and then come back. It is like someone is sticking a knife in my ear or, sometimes, up my neck into my skull. My skin is sore to the touch and feels bruised when this is happening. The shooitng pain can occur every few minutes. Taking Alever or Motrin sometimes helps. The other thing that helps me is going to the chiropractor. In fact this is how I can usually tell I need to go in. When these pains start and don't go away after a day or two, or keep reoccuring I know I need to go in. Getting re-aligned takes care of it until next time. I am experiencing the pains right now and think I know what caused it. While feeding my horses last night I tripped and fell into a snow bank with a full pitchfork full of hay and wrneched my shoulder and back. This morning I woke up with the pains. I am sure it is not the same for everyone but for me it seems directly related to my spine needing to be realigned. It is amazing the things chiropratory can help with and I would recommend to highly. |

I just got some pains that woke me up in the night. The sensation feels like a shooting pain running through a little vein and a little bit like an electrical shock. I have been drinking Pelligrino lemon soda and this is the only new
thing I have injested. It really scares me. Anyone know what this could be?

| i have been getting the same thing happening to me as well. I'm a girl & im only 14 i'll be 15 in two months. its been going on for at least a few years now. The person who posted this described her problem just like my own. I havn't been to the doctor because my mom did'nt really think much of it. but now that its been happening more often, I have been getting more concerned. I think it's only happened like about 7 or 8 times over the past 3-4 years. Sometimes it happens if i flip my hair with my head, i pick up my almost 2 year old brother or sometimes if im laughing. It just feels like a shooting pain towards the back of my head on the right side. Im worried about this problem and I think I'll talk my mom into taking me to the doctor |
