sudden glans pain during masturbation

Hello. I'm 18 year old male and I have developed one very delicate problem. You see, just the other day, while I was masturbating under the shower, I suddenly felt pain on the tip of my penis.
This has never happened to me earlier and that’s why I become so frightened. I'm sexually active more then a year now and all the time I'm with the same girl. Like I said, I started masturbating under the hot water and sudden pain interrupted me. I stopped with masturbating and after hour or two- the pain stopped.
Please tell me what could be the cause? Could this be sign of some sexually transmitted disease?

Hello. I have just read your post and it has made me thinking about it. I didn’t know a lot about this but I have read some articles and listen what I have found out. Because you said that the pain stopped soon after showering I really doubt that you could develop some serious problem with your glans such as balanitis or some STD. It was just a temporary problem related with the conditions in showering tub.
You probably know that the tip of you penis is whole different type of tissue like the rest of your penis.
It can be very sensitive to temperature changes so on option could be that the water was simply too hot. Another option is that maybe the shampoo that you were using had some ingredients that, mixed with hot water, can cause irritation and pain of the glans.
