I've been taking medication to keep my hypothyroid condition regulated for years. I am 59, and recently have gained at least 12 pounds over 4 or 5 months. Is this normal for my age or should I get my thyroid tested again. It's been a couple yearssince my last test. Confused

You should have your thyroid tested every six months with a blood test - Don't know who is managing your health but you should look into another doctor
