i'm 21 and have been in a mono-relationship for almost 3 years. i suffered from, what i thougth was, Bacterial Vaginosis for months before going to my gyno.
when i did, she said i had few "bad" cells that would point to BV and suggested that my birth control might be the cause of my discharge (white, mild odor - not always really "fishy", stronger after intercourse, creamy). she prescribed me 14 flagyl pills (antibiotics for BV) to be taken over the next 7 days. after i finished, my discharge was gone and i felt like myself again.
then, after my period ended and my sex life returned to normal, i suddenly had discharge again. i'm wondering if this is "normal" discharge (since its been so long since i had normal discharge) or if the BV came back. my doc said that if my symptoms returned, it was most likely my BCPs that caused the discharge.
any thoughts?? has this happened to anyone else?? i'm at my wits end with this!!!!  |
