suddenly my nipples are sore and pale

For the past few days my boyfriend and I have been very sexually active for the past 3-4 days and I just noticed today that my nipples are paler than normal and very sensitive.
Is the recent sexual activities the cause? And how long will it be until my nipples turn back to normal?

p.s. i know I'm not pregnant - so I know that is not the reason (although thats what a lot of forums say)
