My wife will undergo surgery April 30, 2008. She has been addicted to Percocet's for 9 months. By addiction, I mean 10-15 10/650 pills per day. She has admitted that it is no longer for pain, but for effect. She will have surgery related to Crohns' Disease (her affected small intestine). I say that she should tell her doctor about her addiction. I have heard stories about cardiac arrest due to opiate addiction while undergoing surgery. Please help--------------

Sorry you didn't get a response before her surgery.... Yes, she should havve told him but she wasnt taking any life-threatening risk by not. Did everything go okay? I am sure they figured it out on their own anyways because of the amount of meds she required.
