swelling hands and feet

I have been having swelling in the hands and feet for about a week also some redness, it seems to get worse with use or heat, anything to be concerned with?

Mary,
I have been told that swelling in the hands and feet are generally a symptom related to food allergies. Keep an eye on peanuts, tree nuts such as almonds, wheat, soy, milk products and there are others. If you Google food allergies there are plenty of sites that list the top allergens. Benedryl can help and it should start to relieve you symptoms within 2 hours.
