swelling in shin of left leg moving up and down but not goin

im wondering if anyone can help me ive a swellingon my left leg for 4-6 mths now.it travells up and down different areas but dosnt go away and its sore to touch with a red raised bruise.i dont jog at all but i walk a little each day im a 30yr old and dont hit or crash into objects any ideas??
like ill get the bruise on shin it will be red,raised,and sore for a few days then it will go further up/down my leg get raised,red and bruised ect.... kind of worring and annoying
