swelling of lower abdomen and numbness, how long will this last ?

Hello, I had a hysterectomy September 8th 2007 and was wondering if it was normal to still be experiencing swelling and numbness in my lower abdomen..???

Hi Cheryl,

I see that you did not get a response to your question...

I had a Hysterectomy back in January. By the end of my eight week recovery period, all of my swelling was gone. It took about 12 weeks before I got some sensation back in the tummy area. As far as your swelling lasting this long, I would definitely contact your surgeon/gyno. That just does not sound right to me. Friends of mine who have gone through the same surgery have had the same results as I have...
