swelling of temples

My left temple has swollen in the past week.

Have you been hit in that area? If you experienced a trauma, your temple could have swollen but you would probably have a big bruise there and it would already go down after a week or so.

Another possible reason of the swelling could be some sort of tumor but tumors don’t just appear like that. The process would be gradual and the swelling wouldn’t appear out of the blue, so I really can’t point my finger to what it could be.

It would be best if you saw a doctor and had an exam and together with your medical history, your doc may be able to determine the reason of the swelling.
