swimming and abortion

I have just called a clinic to book an appointment. However, if I do come to my scheduled appointment to get an abortion, this will leave me 6 days until I go travel outside of the country. My question is can I take antibiotics that will prevent me from getting an infection in my uterus? that is if I do end up swimming? I have been advised to re-schedule and am certainly considering doing so...

Hello there!

If you would like to swim, it may be best to reschedule. Here is why....

They WILL give you antibiotics, but your cervix will stay open for up to 2 weeks after the abortion, so germs can still enter your uterus.

I have had an abortion around a really nice trip, and I did not reschedule, I sure wish I had..

I work in abortion, and would say to go and have a good time! I would reschedule.
