switched from albuterol to levalbuterol?

After a long time of using albuterol my doctor decided to change that and to switch to levalbuterol. I dont know why he done that. He said that levalbuterol is better. My asthma symptoms were under control with albuterol. Anyway from 2.5 mg of albuterol I am going to 1.25 mg of levalbuterol. Does anyone has any idea why he has done that?

I, personally think that he is right. I have been in the same position like you. I have switched from albuterol to levalbuterol and I had complained too but then the doctor explained me that levalbuterol improve pulmonary function more and that it lasts longer. Also it is lower risk for your cardiac system. I feel great now and I see that he was right.
