swollen burning lower lip

My lower lip has been swollen and feels like it is burning for months now. I have always used chapstick; but I am putting it on 15-20 times per day. The swelling is so bad, my lower lips have indentation marks of my upper teeth.

I have tried chapstick, cortisone creams, and vaseline; the symptons are getting worse.

What do I have?

Hi jp,
I have the same thing, and have had it for 3 years now. So far no medical cure but I keep looking. When thinking about what may have cause it, some similarities may provide us with an answer, if you've found one please post it hear and I'll check back.
1. I own several cats, alergy or zoonatic problem
2. I changed sexual partners, my new one does not douche, subdermal yeast infection from oral sex.did not have problem with old partner
3. Had an MRI/cat scan where I was injected with dye, gallium poisoning.
4. I had a Hepatitis A vacination, for doing work in flood areas, general serum reaction.
I finally scheduled a visit with a top specialist, but it's not until october.
I live in central ohio near a fiberglass factory, and work at an electric company. both my house and workplace get their water from wells. I hope this is helpful, if you see any similarities please post them.
