i am forty weeks pregnant and have swelling in my inner labia accompanied by an insane painful itch. my husband an i are not "active" at the moment (too uncomfortable). i have not switched detergents or soap, and do not see my doc for a few days. hoping someone may have a suggestion.
I had vulval varicosities during my pregnancy. My labia were also swollen.
I went to see a doc and he told me that there were two possible reasons they occurred. One is raging pregnancy hormones and another one: the uterus that is growing. He suggested I stayed fit and exercised regularly.
They subsided after delivery but are still noticeable. I kept my legs up. That used to help.
Later, some months after my delivery I heard about V braces that some women use to get a relief from varicose veins.
