Hi, I am an 18 year old female, and yesterday I had a bump inside my lower lip. I bit it, and I guess I was playing with it a little, and it started to swell. by last night, my lip was really swollen, and this morning it's still swollen, although it's gone down a little bit. Any thoughts about why this happened and how I can quickly reduce the swelling? thanks!

The bump is probably just an inflammatory reaction from a bite. This lump can actually stay there for weeks or months. Just don’t play with it, poke or squeeze-leave it alone. It will go away sooner that way.

If the lump remains there longer than a month, you could have it checked by a dermatologist.
