swollen nodes in groin

Hi. I'm 21 year old male and I'm sexually active for more then 3 years now but I have never seen anything like this.
About two weeks ago I have noticed that I have a small bump on my left groin area, just over my genitals. I was a bit scared but I didn’t know what could be the cause. Two days later, approximately the same lump appeared on my right groin.
I have told anything about this to anyone but I figured it out that this must be lymph nodes swelling.
I'm pretty frightened right now and I'm afraid to visit any doctor over this because I don’t know what he’ll tell me. Please help me!

First, I don’t approve why you didn’t contact any doctor over this. Although this could be some trivial thing- it could also be a sign of some serious health problem.
You should definitely know that the swelling of lymph nodes generally results from localized or systemic infection, lymphadenitis or malignancy but localized swelling in the groin area often occur during several conditions such as hernia, local infection, generalized drug reaction, allergic or viral reaction, trauma, some sexually transmitted disease or even malignancy. What ever is the cause-you should contact your GP as soon as you can because sometimes early detection plays a major role! Good luck!
