swollen throat and white phlem caught in back of throat

help... i have had a soar throat sense thursday and now it is tuesday. i havent seen the dr becasue i wanted it to clear on its own. i am 20yr old female and my right wisdom tooth is comming through. my dentist said i have room so i am dealing with that pain. but now my throat is hurting first on the same side now my left side is hurting. and there are pockets with phlem in my "tonsils" sometime my ears hurt and the back of my tongue tingles... i dont know what this is.. please help. nyquil has been my best friend so far:) thanks Question

hi, from what you have described it sounds like a straight forward throat infection, best thing you can do is book to see your family doctor for a firm diagnosis and possibly some antibiotics. in the meantime you can try gargling with some soluble aspirin to help with the pain, and take an anti-iflammatory to bring down any fever you may have. another soothing and tasty idea is to suck on an ice lolly this will help keep your throat lubricated. hope this helps.
