Whenever i used to cry my eyelids would swell up like balloons, now for the past 2 weeks I'v been waking up looking like i was punched in both eyes! It doesn't hurt but they're so swollen everyone notices and askes what's wrong. I'm not allergic to anything and haven't changed any products I'm using. What's the deal, anyone?

My son has the same problem and we are now in Choc Children's Hospital and we have been here for five days now. I would do to the doctors so they can do a CT scan of your eye and give you medicine for your eye.

Shred a potato and use the shreds as a compress on the eye. No need to heat it up. Lay down and let the shredded potato sit on the eyelid for a few minutes. You may need to do this more than once, but if it is an infection, or sty, etc. the potato will draw out the infection and puss, reducing the swelling.

I have had this problem two seperate times, and i am actually writing here because i am a victim of swollen eyelids right now. its quite bothersome. I am suspicious that my eye makeup may have been the catalyst. I was so tired last night that i forgot to completely remove my makeup, and i woke up today with swollen eyelids. then again, when i had them before, i had properly removed my makeup. I just think maybe my eyeliner contributed to it. any thoughts on this? does anyone know a specific ingredient in certain makeup brands that could be harmful?

I think you have a stye, a stye is a little white dot on the inside of your eyelid, I had that last month and went to see specialist, he prescribe me an ointment called "TrobraDex", this product is not over the counter so you'll need prescription, but before you apply the ointment you can always try warm compressed and that should decrease the swollen a bit.

I had a painfull puffy/swollen eyelid for the past few days, the best cure for a swollen eyelid is to squeze out some tea from a hot teabag on to the whole eye and place the teabag on the eye remove it when it cooled off, repeat few times a day you will be surprized how fast it will disapear. IT REALY WORKS!

i have really bad allergies and i recently realized that old stuff like expired dates on foods at the grocery store and at home make my eyes swollen so i threw out everything and i mean everything that (went into my mouth) whatever i ate that did not have an expiration date or date was expired on foods, medicines, teas, condiments, seasoning, even rubbing alcohol and vitamins i threw it in the garbage. after i did this and watched what i put in my mouth and what i bought at the stores . my eyes quit swelling up. it was a break through and a big relief

seemingly swollen eyes are worse after we go to sleep straight after crying, the sodium (salt) in our tears do not get a chance to flush out.. It takes ages for me to look normal again 24-48 hour and yes it is so embarrassing that we cant have a little cry without the world having to know our business....drinks lots of water and cold tea bags will help the swelling

I have been suffering for a very long time with swelling of the upper eyelids. Mostly the right one. I have spent so much time on the internet trying to find the answers for all the symptoms I have had. Swollen eyelids, stuffy nose, pain over my back teeth, especially the right side. Pure misery for the past 10 years or so. According to the internet and the Ear, Nose and throat specialist who I have my second appointment with tomorrow I am suffering from Chronic Sinusitis. He has recommended a surgery called Septoplasty. He has found that I have a deviated septum of the nose and swollen turbinates in the nose also. Do yourself a favor and go on the internet and do searches on the following: Chronic sinusitis, Deviated Septum, Nasal Turbinates and Swollen eyelid due to sinusitis. I could swear they were talkiing about me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck! |
