symptoms of cracked rib

About a week ago I was using the urinal at school and a buddy of mine pushed me from behind pretty hard as I was peeing and my chest hit right on a metal part a little bit to the right of the handle. It hit me right in the middle of my chest. It hurts to take deep breaths and hurts a little when I push on my chest. I couldnt even breathe when it happened and the pain hasnt gotten any better since it happened?

Should I go get it checked out by a doctor?

I recently had a fall while taking my walk....... Sad

Have a few bruises on right knee......elbow.......arm.........I also get some pains under my right breast since I fell...... I am leaning towards badly bruised rib UT unknown for sure.....

When breathing deeply/bending to reach for something to pick up.....coughing n sneezing puts me into bigger pains in this area:(

Was wondering if anyone can tell me....go get this looked at? just let it take it's coarse in healing?could it be broken?badly bruised?? no swelling no visable bruising showing.....been taking tylenol 500 for pain

I fell last Tuesday morning, early, but went back to bed thinking nothing of it. Got up a couple of hours later and was hurting real bad on my left side, just under my breast. It hurt to take a deep breath and when I coughed it felt like someone was stabbing me. Some friends took me to the emergency room where they took xrays, etc. They saw no broken bones but told me I probably had a couple of cracked ribs. Said this would not show on the xrays. Also said I probably was bruised inside. This has been one week ago. They gave me pain pills and muscle relaxers. Only thing this did was make me woozy. They also put a turnicat around me, with my left arm attached to my waist. How long do I need to wear this, and how long does it take for the pain to go away? I still hurt quite a bit.

yea i was hit in the back with a golf club a few weeks ago it didnt hurt that badly at first but i fell recently and now i have severe sharp pains in my lower right side of my back. im not sure wat i have though. it hurrts wen i walk or run fast wen i laugh or cough and sometimes wen i breathe deepely.

I was thinking these problems could be Costochrondritis. When cartilage in the ribs starts to wear out. Im guessing the bones rub. Started sleeping. my shoulders come together when i sleep. When I rolled out of that position, I got a sharp pain in the sternum of my chest. I could bearly breathe. Its ok now but I have to pop my chest by twisting and pressing on my sternum to get comfort..? its weird. I see alot of people with the same problems. But does Costochrondritis occur in the center of the chest? how can I relieve this awkward pain?

I came here for advice but everyone is doing the same thing!
I cracked ribs in the past when a pony threw me. That was back in the day when they taped you from center to back.
I fell yesterday and feel about the same way I did back then.
I'm GOING TO THE DOCTOR. If other people read this, they should too. A previous poster mentioned shortness of breath. A seriously fractured rib can puncture a lung!

I6 think I may have a cracked rib it hurts to laugh cough move my arms above my waist and also to put pressure on it. I did by falling off a dirtbike onto dirt.

I couged and sneezed really hard. Afterwards, my ribs started hurting really bad. Now it hurts to cough or touch.
