First symptoms are irregular periods and once you have no bleeding for one year (one year all together), that means you are in menopause and not in pre menopause any more. Here is a list of menopausal symptoms>
Irregular heart beat
Irratibility
Hot flashes and cold flashes, night flashes
Mood swings (some women cry a lot, some are very irritable)
Depression
Trouble with sleeping at night
Irregular periods, sometimes having shorter and lighter and then heavier and flooding periods
Loss of sex drive, dry vagina
Fatigue,
Anxiety
Difficulty with concentration, mental confusion,
Incontinence (upon sneezing, laughing)
Memory lapses
Increased tension in muscles,
Tenderness in breasts
Itchy skin,
Aching and sore joints and muscles,
Headaches, dizziness
Weight gain (especially in the abdominal area)
Increase in allergies
Gastrointestinal distress
Increase in facial hair,
Loss of hair or thinning hair
Tingling in extremities
Gum problems, like bleeding, bad taste in mouth, burning tongue
After several years osteoporosis
Changes in fingernail (crack easier)
Tinnitus: ringing in ears, bells, buzzing
