My friend found out that he suffers from syphilis. He says that he doesn’t know where he got it, but I know that has been seeing that terrible girl two blocks away, I have heard grouse things about her. We talked often about SDT but he was like:”it could never happen to me”…I am worried. Does anyone know what the ways to get syphilis are and what is the usual treatment?

Hey, syphilis can be transmitted during kissing, anal and vaginal sex and oral genital contact. Those bacteria can enter the body by penetrating the mucous membranes or any small cracks in the skin. It can survive outside of the body so un-sexual cause is really uncommon. Someone must transmit it. It is effectively treated with penicillin and antibiotics. You should advice him to use condom and see a doctor of course.
